Spring in Yokohama

Spring in Yokohama lasts from March to May. The peak cherry blossom season (hanami) typically occurs in late March to early April. Temperatures begin to warm, making it a comfortable time for sightseeing.
- March: Average temperatures range from 8-15°C.
- April: Average temperatures rise to 12-20°C.
- May: Average temperatures become even warmer, around 16-24°C.

Yokohama Cherry Blossom Festival: Typically held in late March to early April, this festival celebrates the blooming of cherry blossoms with various traditional performances, food stalls, and illuminations.
Yokohama Flower and Greenery Festival: Held in late April at Yokohama Park and Yamashita Park. This exhibition showcases various types of flowers, especially tulips, that adorn the parks.
Yokohama Nanohana Festival: Typically held in mid-May, this festival showcases a beautiful expanse of golden-yellow canola flowers (nanohana). Nanohana flowers are also used to make a variety of traditional snacks.
Yokohama Africa Festival: Held in early April at the Red Brick Warehouse, this festival features African music, dance, and food.
